Giant Food to Make its Mark at Two New Area Developments

NORTHERN VIRGINIA-As Dominion Valley Market Square and South Riding Market Square--two mixed-use developments in new master-planned communities--prepare to go up, Giant Food stakes its claim by pre-leasing gourmet grocery store spaces of 60,000 sf at each property.

NORTHERN VIRGINIA-Giant Food has committed to opening stores at two shopping centers, Dominion Valley Market Square and South Riding Market Square, which are currently under development by Toll Brothers within two new master-planned communities.

Both gourmet grocery destinations will be 60,000 sf. Details of Giant’s leasing deals have not been disclosed, but according to NAI Direct, neighborhood service center retail space in Northern Virginia generally rents for $20 to $35 per-sf.
