DETROIT-Twelve metro area drug stores are on the sales block after a bankruptcy filing by Youngstown, OH-based Drug Emporium, Inc.

F&M Super Drug Stores was part of Drug Emporium’s 77-store chain. The company filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy last week in Youngstown.

The company said all 77 of its company-owned stores will close and be offered for sale. The stores operate under the Drug Emporium, F& M and VIX names in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York, Michigan, Ohio, Missouri, Oklahoma and Wisconsin. Several independently owned Drug Emporium Stores in Texas and West Virginia will not be affected.
