Willoughby & Sewell Development Co. filed plans for Gateway Village, a 250-home subdivision that would include 22 acres of commercial on a 102-acre tract on the southwest corner of GA 92 and Maroney Mill Road, about 10 miles west of Downtown Atlanta. The residential component would have three homes per acre on an 80-acre tract--too dense for the Douglasville City Council, staffers tell GlobeSt.com.
