DJB Acquisition Co. plans to redevelop two industrial parcels on Industrial Drive West, near Nine Mile and Interstate 94.
DJB will demolish buildings at 22901 and 22925 Industrial Dr. West, which combined cover about 1.7 acres. The company will then construct a 98,000-sf, three-story warehouse to be used for self-storage.
The land is part of a city designated brownfield, due to traces of benzopyrene found in the soil, a carconigen, which DJB will have to clean up prior to the construction phase of the project.
DJB will receive a Michigan Single Business Tax Credit of approximately $650,000 on the project.
A firm timeline on the project was not announced.
