Changes are proposed to chapters addressing surface and ground water quality, air quality, parks, recreation, trails, and open space and public facilities and services (water, storm drainage, wastewater and public facility planning). To provide citizens the opportunity to review the proposed changes to the text, two public open houses are scheduled, the first for Monday, September 29 at Gresham City Hall beginning at 5 p.m.

Periodic review is a state law that requires Oregon jurisdictions to maintain an updated comprehensive plan. It is expected that Planning Commission public hearings on the review will be held in October. The commission will make recommendations to the city council and the council will hold its public hearings in November and December 2003.
