City Comprehensive Plan Update in the Works

GRESHAM, OR-The City of Gresham is engaged in a review and update of its comprehensive plan. As part of the process, a state-mandated periodic review will be followed by a general update of findings, goals, policies and action measures.

Changes are proposed to chapters addressing surface and ground water quality, air quality, parks, recreation, trails, and open space and public facilities and services (water, storm drainage, wastewater and public facility planning). To provide citizens the opportunity to review the proposed changes to the text, two public open houses are scheduled, the first for Monday, September 29 at Gresham City Hall beginning at 5 p.m.

The comprehensive plan makes up the first two volumes of the four-volume Community Development Plan. Volume three is the development code and the fourth volume is the transportation system plan, recently adopted by the city council.
