"Hyatt Pinon Pointe is the 10th jewel in the Hyatt Vacation Ownership crown and we are thrilled with the outcome of this development," John Burlingame, executive vice president of Hyatt Vacation Ownership Inc., said in a press release. "We have worked closely with the Sedona community to ensure that the architecture of Pinon Pointe blends with the natural beauty of the Red Rocks and Sedona."

The property offers 64 two-bedroom lock-off suites and 11 one-bedroom units in a southwestern style. The units are incorporated into a steep hill to maximize views of the Sedona Red Rocks. All feature an eat-in kitchen and dining room as well as an oversized spa tub.

The resort features an activity building complete with media room, exercise room, spa treatment rooms and a children's camp. A 30,000-sf upscale retail space that will include several restaurants, art and specialty shops is adjacent to the resort.

Hyatt worked with Swaback Partners architects to preserve natural wash areas in developing the property. Their work led to saving and repositioning many trees around the property, Hyatt said.
