"Madison Marquette believes there is a solid and growing market for its leasing and management services in the Philadelphia region," says Jim Bennett, the company's managing director of new business development.

Its first assignment is leasing up Valley Square Bucks County, a 500,000-sf mixed-use property in Warrington, PA being developed by locally based Metro Development Corp. Madison Marquette will work in partnership with Metro affiliate US Realty Associates, which is also based here.

Valley Square is an upscale, open-air center consisting of a 130,000-sf Wegmans grocery store, a mix of lifestyle and traditional retail and a 115,000-sf office village. The groundbreaking is planned for first quarter 2004 and delivery is anticipated in early 2005. Restaurants and a garden-style condo complex are also planned.

The local Madison Marquette office is also providing leasing services to the University of Pennsylvania, Suburban Square in Ardmore, PA, and Glen Eagle Square in Glen Mills, PA. Bennett says it expects to further expand activity here in coming months.

Madison Marquette oversees more than 26 million sf of retail and mixed-use properties nationwide.
