The four-star, 250-room hotel will be developed by a subsidiary of Orion and managed by Radisson SAS Hotels & Resorts. Construction is expected to begin in January 2004 and completion is scheduled for summer 2005. The "Disneyland Resort Paris Associated Hotel" will be Orion's first hotel development in France.

The hotel will be located on the 27-hole Golf Disneyland, adjacent to the Disney Theme Parks and convention centers. It will offer three- or four-person rooms and suites to accommodate families as well as ballroom and conference suites adjacent to a business center for meetings and events. Amenities will include two restaurants, a lounge, a fitness room, sauna, juice-bar, swimming pool and beauty parlor.

Rezidor SAS Hospitality President/CEO Kurt Ritter says the company is "anxious" to tap into one of Europe's leading tourist destinations and expects to attract even more guests through its relationship with SAS Airlines. Ritter says the company also is planning other properties in the country. "We will soon introduce Rezidor SAS' other brands to France as well," he says.

Aref Lahham, managing director of Orion Capital Managers, the manager of Orion, says his firm, too, will be adding hotels in Europe. "Orion intends this hotel development to be the first of many to come across continental Europe in the next few years," says Lahham.
