Dallas-based Cadence McShane Corp. spent nearly two years constructing the three-acre project, which opens in spring 2004 for classes. The project was Cadence McShane's first for the San Jacinto College System.
Bay Architect of Webster, TX designed the two-story building, with a three-story rotunda. The building houses multiple computer labs, lecture rooms, classrooms, theater-support for interactive learning and a bookstore. The structure contains remote wireless technology and high-tech gadgetry like plasma screens. Brown & Root Services provided the program management services for the project on behalf of the San Jacinto College System.
