Allentown, PA-based North Star Construction Management Inc. will construct the single-story building at a cost estimated to exceed $10 million. It will contain 40,000 sf of finished office space and 160,000 sf of manufacturing space, designed specifically around GMA's requirements.
GMA, an affiliate of Muller Martini Group, is a global supplier of high-speed inserters, press conveyors, mailroom auxiliary equipment and production system software for publishing and mailing companies.
Its current headquarters and manufacturing operations are in an 80,000-sf building the company owns on Avenue B here. GMA also handles insertion operations for several of its periodicals from leased space on Postal Road in Allentown, PA.
With completion of the Northgate facility next summer, the Allentown operation will relocate to the Avenue B property, and workers in that current headquarters will move to the new Northgate building.
Bill Wolf, a senior VP in the Allentown office of CB Richard Ellis, was the sole agent in brokering the transaction with the Skeans.
