Growth World In., a new import operation, took 5,265 sf in the two-building Beltway Service Center at 5803 Sovereign St. in the southwest sector. Vantage's Walter Menuet brokered the deal on behalf of the building owner, Vantage Houston Inc., agent for the Hawaii-based Halawa View Apartments partnership.

Menuet, the deal's lone broker, tells GlobeSt.com that Growth World will move into the space Oct. 1. The company will import countertops and sink products from China. The new deal takes the 117,646-sf project to 93% occupancy, Menuet says. The development's quoted rates range from 50 cents per sf to 55 cents per sf per month.

In the northwest submarket, Network Courier Inc. of Los Angeles leased 3,976 sf, also for the medium term, in the Bondesen Tech Center at 6610 W. Sam Houston Parkway N. The four tech buildings, totaling 91,700 sf, reached 100% with the new signing.

Network Courier, a logistics firm, will occupy the space in about 45 days. Brad Berry of Vantage Cos. Houston represented the building owner, Vantage Development 29 Inc., while Kurt North of North Pointe Commercial Realty of Plano, TX represented the tenant, which previously had an office/warehouse at 16770 Hedgecroft Dr. The Bondesen Tech Center is getting $11.50 per sf triple net.
