Miller has finished a multi-phase renovation and expansion of the hospital's emergency department and operating rooms. The four-year, $4.5 million emergency department quasi design/build expansion project tripled the size of the emergency treatment facilities at the hospital to more than 20,000 sf. Currently, the hospital has 35 treatment rooms, compared with 17 originally, a dedicated X-ray room and other diagnostic spaces.

Miller also completed a $16 million expansion and renovation of the hospital's operating rooms this summer. This four-year, multi-phase project added four surgical suites and renovated 13 existing ones, bringing the hospital's operating rooms total to more than 48,000 sf.

In addition, Miller has begun a $5 million project to create the first two of six planned cardiac catheterization labs at the hospital's Jim Moran Heart & Vascular Center. The project is scheduled to be completed in October, according to Miller Healthcare Group project executive Wayne Hannaka. These two labs will occupy 18,000 sf in the 90,000-sf medical office and services building. The hospital ultimately may add four more labs to meet demand.
