Volume Millwork Inc., a maker of countertops and ticket stands for customers like Continental Airlines, moved from Tomball, a northwestern suburb, into 23,500 sf at 7610 Prairie Oak in the Northwest Green Business Park. Troy Collins and Clay Pritchett, both with Yancey-Hausman of Houston, represented the tenant. Tyndall Yaap and Thad Hickman, with the Houston office of Grubb & Ellis Co., negotiated for the building owner, Capital Commercial Investments Inc. of Austin.
Collins tells GlobeSt.com that company looked at the available space in Tomball and the surrounding area and chose to sign a five-year lease in a business park with a positioning near the intersection of Texas 249 and Bammell North Houston Road. The new location, which has a quoted rate of 42 cents per sf gross, also holds the corporate offices.
In an unrelated transaction, Tyrne Corp., which specializes in seismic data services, leased 5,292 sf of service center space in Abderdeen Commerce Center along Telge Road. Collins and Pritchett represented the tenant and building owner, Castilian Investments, in negotiations for a three-year lease. The building's quoted rate is 65 cents per sf.
