"A couple of events have been scheduled in Brown Center Hall, but the rest of the building is not finished," MICA's Cheryl Knauer tells GlobeSt.com. "It won't be fully functioning until January."

Carrying the address of 1301 Mount Royal Ave., Brown Center--designed by architect Charles Brickbauer of Peterson and Brickbauer, and architectural firm Ziger/Snead LLP--sits directly across from the school's Renaissance Revival-era main building, serving as a literal link, school officials say, between the past and the future. The $20 million project was partially funded through a $5 million donation from the building's namesakes, as well as gifts from other patrons of the college.
