The property, owned by locally based private investor Thomas Wilson, has a 40-ft clear ceiling served by a 50-ton crane, plus drive-in and tailgate loading docks. In addition, it provides Weir with easy access to I-95, I-476 and Philadelphia International Airport.
Steve Italiano, SVP in the Wayne, PA office of CB Richard Ellis, says the property is "the best heavy crane-served space in Delaware County." Italiano represented Wilson in the negotiations.
Weir designs, manufactures and supplies metal spare parts for heavy equipment, including mechanical and hydraulic machinery, worldwide. Among its specialties is the ability to extend the life of aging equipment through the incorporation of metallurgical advancements. The company will begin operations at Dutton Mill next month.
