Industrial brokers familiar with the developers' planned Avalon subdivision tell GlobeSt.com Central and Kirkland plan to break ground on the estimated $750,000, 400-space project by year end in this suburban city. The site is near the intersections of GA 81 and GA 20.

The authority's regional express buses, servicing an 11-county region around Atlanta, are expected to be using the Park-N-Ride lot next year, according to GRTA officials. The bus hub will be near other public improvements planned for Avalon, according to preliminary plans filed with the authority and city planners. Those improvements include baseball and softball fields and a fire station.
