In DeKalb, Beverly Hills, CA-based Casden Properties LLC plans to develop a 780-unit, U-shaped apartment community on 26 acres after demolishing the existing 318-unit Dunwoody Park Apartments at Chamblee Dunwoody and North Shallowford roads near Interstate 285.

Centennial Lakes LLC wants to erect 190 townhomes and 435 single-family units on 165 acres near Interstate 75 in Cherokee County. However, the property will first need rezoning approval, according to preliminary plans filed with the ARC. The site is along Woodstock and Priest roads, just above the Cobb County line.

In Henry County, Atlanta developer Andrew Been plans Long Branch, a 164-unit residential subdivision on 127 acres west of Locust Grove on Bill Gardner Parkway. Been has promised to keep 28% of the property as open space.

Project True North of Alpharetta, GA also promised to save about 40% of its planned 195-home Northstar Station as open space on a 97-acre site on Mount Carmel Road, west of McDonough.

And in Gwinnett County, a 456,380-sf regional shopping center is planned at Hamilton Mill and Sardis Church roads where 11 nearby tracts with an unspecified amount of sf could be developed at a later date.
