Four New Development Plans Before ARC

ATLANTA-The Atlanta Review Commission, swamped with recent proposals for new developments throughout the metro area, is studying plans for four new projects in DeKalb, Cherokee, Henry and Gwinnett counties. Area brokers tell GlobeSt.com the estimated aggregate build-out value of the projects is $25 million.

In DeKalb, Beverly Hills, CA-based Casden Properties LLC plans to develop a 780-unit, U-shaped apartment community on 26 acres after demolishing the existing 318-unit Dunwoody Park Apartments at Chamblee Dunwoody and North Shallowford roads near Interstate 285.

Centennial Lakes LLC wants to erect 190 townhomes and 435 single-family units on 165 acres near Interstate 75 in Cherokee County. However, the property will first need rezoning approval, according to preliminary plans filed with the ARC. The site is along Woodstock and Priest roads, just above the Cobb County line.
