Bristol Airport's Commercial Development in a Holding Pattern

LONDON-In spite of what may appear a golden opportunity for business activity at Bristol's international airport, there are a number of planning and access hurdles that need to be cleared according to King Sturge.

LONDON-Bristol International Airport is waiting to be discovered as a business-related opportunity according to Ned Cussen, a Bristol-based partner of property consultancy King Sturge. Cussen said that while the airport has seen growth in passenger numbers soar, the development of commercial opportunities remains firmly on the ground.

“It is a simple fact that airports are proving to be major engines of economic development throughout the UK and Europe. Bristol International has less business-related development than any other comparable airport, so its potential to boost the area’s economy remains constrained until the green belt factor is tackled”, said Cussen.
