Insignia/ESG, for example, has lost two professionals in John C. Brown, a senior managing director in the multi-housing properties group, and Tracy Ridgeway, an associate director. Brown moves to Marcus & Millichap as senior director in the firm's National Multi-Housing Group. Ridgeway joins Advantis/GVA as a director and will be responsible for building the local office's corporate real estate services group.

Lisa Robinson, former vice president of marketing at Carter & Associates, relocates to Transwestern Commercial Services as vice president of marketing.

John Leonard, regional manager in the local office of Marcus & Millichap, is banking on Brown's 19 years of experience to bring in new business. In his career to date, Brown has represented buyers and sellers in the sale of 18,500 apartment units valued at $1.5 billion. He is a former senior vice president with Grubb & Ellis Co.

Like Leonard, Advantis/GVA managing director R. Richard Bryant looks to Ridgeway to "expand our capabilities and services" and "enhance the quality of our environment and culture."

At Transwestern, Robinson is the latest of several new hires recruited by Jim Ledbetter, president of the firm's Southeast operations. Robinson has 17 years of commercial real estate experience and holds a bachelor's degree from Georgia State University.
