Following site remediation, carried out in conjunction with the regeneration agency Advantage West Midlands, work is about to begin on Phase One which will cover an area of 174,200 sf. This will see the construction of two industrial units of 20,000 and 30,000 sf which are believed to be the only speculative industrial developments to commence on site in the West Midlands during 2003. They are scheduled for completion in February 2004.
Phase Two will see the construction of a new 100,000-sf industrial unit at Brook Point. Alfred McAlpine Developments has agreed a freehold package with Metro Real Estate for a Makro cash and carry store. Construction has already begun and the store is expected to be completed in November 2003 after a ten week construction period.
GVA Grimley, Fuller Peiser and Bulleys jointly advised on the scheme.
