Tech Park Welcomes New Tenant

FREDERICK, MD-Voice over Internet protocol software technology company Qovia Inc. has decided move its global headquarters from Monrovia, to an 8,000-sf space in the 750,000-sf I-270 Technology Park. Qovia committed to occupying the space in the 22,000-sf building at 7470 New Technology Way for a three-year period. According to Manekin LLC, which handles leasing on behalf of property owner MORECOP-270 Associates, space in the building goes for $12.50 per sf. Insignia ESG represented the tenant in the transaction.

The structure at 7470 New Technology Way is a single-story facility that was developed in 1989. It is also home to Manower Inc., as well as Manekin, itself. And with Qovia’s lease, the property is nearly 94% occupied. “By deciding to grow in Frederick County, Qovia not only offers great opportunities for people in Frederick to work where they live, but also advances state-of-the-art technology in our community,” Frederick County Office of Economic Development executive director Marie Keegin says.
