Torrance-based Trammell Crow principals Henry Johnson and Mike Scimo will lead the day-to-day operations of the Tyco account, with strategic oversight from Bob Ruth, senior managing director, and Steve Belcher, regional director. Henry notes that the assignment is not only the largest in Trammell Crow's history but one of the largest such deals in the history of the industry.

Trammell Crow won the account in competition with at least seven other real estate service providers, who were bidding on work that formerly was distributed among a number of real estate service firms.

The agreement makes Trammell Crow the exclusive provider of strategic advisory and portfolio transaction services for the property held by Tyco, which is a diversified manufacturing and service company with facilities throughout North America and the Caribbean. Among other services, the contract calls for Trammell Crow to reduce and optimize Tyco's real estate portfolio, minimize its occupancy costs and take advantage of certain synergies between like facilities among Tyco's divisions.
