Brennan Beer Gorman Monk Architects is behind the design of the building, and Hunt Construction Group Inc. is on board as the general contractor for the project. Upon its completion, Embassy Suites will sport 6,500 sf of meeting space, in addition to its guestrooms. Hilton Hotels Corp. will manage the property, which will carry the distinction of being the first new hotel to be developed within immediate proximity to the new convention center.

"Bookings have been strong for the new facility, and this new property will help us to better meet the needs of groups coming to in Washington." Existing hotels nearest to the gargantuan meeting facility include the 265-room Four Points by Sheraton Hotel, the 888-room Grand Hyatt, and the 807-room Renaissance Hotel, which is the closest.
