None has been idle since then. Morrissey and Battagliese formed their own firms, Morrissey Partners and Flagship Realty Advisors, respectively. Morrissey's company was founded in 2000. Before founding Flagship in 2002, Battagliese served as EVP at GMH Capital Partners, based in Newtown Square, PA.
In 1998, Davisson remained with the new owner of Jackson-Cross and was the top producer in Insignia's Wilmington, DE office until CB Richard Ellis acquired Insignia this July.
The newly united partners plan to "blend our existing businesses into what we hope will become a significant player in the region," Morrissey says. The new firm begins with nine licensed brokers and support staffs at its headquarters here and an office in Wilmington.
Morrissey will manage the Pennsylvania operation; Davisson, the Delaware office, and Battagliese will direct the advisory group and develop an New Jersey organization. The advisory will conduct business on both a regional and national basis.
Within the next 18 months, the company plans to open offices in Philadelphia and Southern New Jersey. In addition, it plans to affiliate with an international real estate network and will align with one of three such prospective organizations by year-end, the partners say.
"The national platform is an important component of our long-term plan, but our primary focus is to reinvigorate the tri-state regional market with a fresh new approach to our clients' real estate needs," says Davisson.
