MIMS Meat Co. will open doors at 4731 Darien St. during first quarter 2004. The firm signed a medium-term lease to drive a relocation from 12634 E. Freeway, which is about seven miles away, Barrett Gibson with NAI Partners Commercial in Houston tells GlobeSt.com. He and NAI's John Ferruzzo represented the building owner, a private investor from Beaumont, TX. Mike Wallace with the Houston office of Colliers International represented the tenant in the negotiations. The industrial space carried a quoted range from 28 cents per sf to 33 cents per sf gross.

In the northwest sector, Lone Star Overnight leased 6,000 sf at 8601 Jameel Rd. Bill Ginder with Caldwell Watson Real Estate Group in Houston represented the air cargo service. The building owner, Midway Commerce Park Properties, had in-house broker, John Duffie of the Midway Cos. in Houston, doing its negotiating.
