A Med Express at 5462 State in Saginaw Township and another at 8787 Gratiot in Thomas Township will merge in a building at the northwest corner of State and Mitchell in Saginaw Township.
Covenant said construction should end by June.
The building also will offer more space for laboratory services, which now are housed in the Med Express on State, and will accommodate the Covenant Breast Imaging Center, which will move from 5444 State.
Covenant officials will review bids on the project next week. The hospital is working in conjunction with Sahasa Realty Corp.-SSP Associates, a development group led by Dr. Samuel H. Shaheen.
