SG Hiscock is a Melbourne-based boutique investment manager with about USD $800 million (AUD 1.2 billion) in assets under management. LaSalle Investment Management, part of Jones Lang LaSalle, is a Chicago-based real estate investment manager with USD $20 billion (AUD 29 billion) in assets under management, as well $4 billion in global real estate securities.

The new fund is called EQT SGH LaSalle Global Listed Property Securities Fund. It will invest in listed property securities around the world that meet certain criteria, including having an income and risk profile broadly similar to that of Australian listed property securities. The Fund will be predominantly hedged back into AUD to remove a substantial portion of foreign currency exposure.

The Fund is being offered to wholesale and retail investors. A company source tells GlobeSt.com that some of the initial seed capital already has been invested, but declined to say how much has been raised to date.
