WYTHE COUNTY, VA-Beating out North Carolina and Tennessee, Virginia has won the competition to play host to Wytheville Technologies Inc.’s new expansion endeavor. The automotive steering components manufacturer will expand its manufacturing facilities at 3045 Peppers Ferry Rd. by 150,000 sf, thereby adding more than 100 new job positions to its current staff of about 60 employees. Wytheville will spend $31 million to complete the project.
“The outstanding workforce we currently have in place, and the strong level of commitment and partnership shown by Wythe County and the Commonwealth were the main factors in leading us to choose Virginia over the competition for this expansion,” Wytheville Technologies VP Peter Argue explains.
