LONDON-Quintain Estates & Development has unveiled its long-awaited masterplan for its site in Wembley in north-west London. Quintain owns 56 acres of land surrounding the new national stadium. The land has been earmarked as a key regeneration opportunity in Mayor Ken Livingstone’s London Plan, and now Quintain has applied for planning permission for five million sf of mixed-use space on 42 acres of its land.

The masterplan, designed by Richard Rogers Partnership, envisages 3,727 new homes, with 40% allocated for affordable housing. It also includes 307,000 sf of leisure facilities including a new cinema, a 153,000-sf designer outlet mall and 86,000 sf mainstream retailing.
