Situated on one acre, Conroe Plaza will be home to an estimated six tenants, Chris Hotze, principal with the project's owner and developer, Wellington Development Co. of Houston tells GlobeSt.com. Sprint and Pizza Inn's space will take approximately 40% of the building. Hotze says the plaza will deliver in the second quarter of 2004.

According to Hotze, Conroe Plaza is located within a retail trade area that includes heavy hitters such as Kroger, Wal-Mart, Sam's Club and Lowe's Home Improvement Warehouse. Buildings of this type typically cost somewhere over $1 million and under $1.7 million to construct. Locally-based Christian's Development Co. Inc. is the general contractor on the project.
