HOUSTON-Local civil engineering firm Van De Wiele Engineering Inc. renewed its 8,875 sf lease and added on 1,143 sf for a new total of 10,018 sf. The firm has been at the 228,885-sf suburban office building at 2925 Briarpark Dr. since 1999, Bubba Harkins, leasing representative with Granite Properties Houston office tells GlobeSt.com. Granite owns the building, which sits in the up and coming Westchase submarket.

Harkins says the renewal is for a medium term. No lease terms were released, but asking rates at the property are $21 per sf. The building is currently 94% occupied and, according to Harkins, has engineering and architectural consulting firm, Lockwood, Andrews & Newman Inc. as one of its anchor tenants.
