The $1 million project will add a 3,767-sf building that will house administrative offices, as well as being outfitted with four new packaging lines.
The project is part of the company's new strategy to separate manufacturing operations from labeling and packaging functions. Construction started this summer and is expected to be complete by December 2003. Perrigo, one of the nation's largest producers of over-the-counter or non-prescription medications, employs nearly 3,000 in southwestern Michigan.
