The White Water scheme will be include three main anchor tenants, 50 individual shop units, 1,700 car park spaces, 14,000 sf of commercial space, 85 residential units and a six-screen multiplex. The total value of the scheme on completion will be in excess of €175 million ($200 million).

The site is currently being cleared, the new access road and services are under construction, and the commencement of on-site construction works is imminent and due for completion in Spring 2006. Discussions are currently ongoing with major anchor tenants.

Ballymore chairman and managing director Sean Mulryan says: "White Water will be the largest shopping development in Ireland outside of Dublin, it will be fashion focused offering the people in the Midlands region a real alternative to shopping in Dublin. Through our joint agents Hamilton Osborne King and Colm McEvoy, we will attract some of the largest European, UK and Irish retailers to the scheme which will appeal to the quality mass market.
