Meanwhile, the site of the mall's former Montgomery Ward store and a portion of the former food court are currently being demolished to make way for a new 65,300-sf Giant Food store that will face Trindle Road along with approximately 24,000 sf of new adjacent retail stores facing Route 15.
Port Washington, NY-based Cedar acquired the mall in November 2002 and is in the process of redeveloping it. Boscov's and Barnes & Noble, in addition to Giant Foods, are among the current tenants. Mount Laurel, NJ-based Metro Commercial is the leasing agent.
Regal Cinemas is the world's largest motion picture exhibitor and an affiliate of Regal Entertainment Group, which also includes United Artists, Edwards and Hoyts theaters among others. The company's cinemas cover 39 states and represent 17% of all screens in the US.
Cedar's investments are focused primarily in multi-tenant, supermarket-anchored shopping centers in Eastern Pennsylvania, Southern New Jersey and Connecticut.
