Sunbelt Hits Halfway Mark

SAN DIEGO-Less than six months after Sunbelt Management Co. broke ground on its Kearny Mesa office complex, the project is already 50% complete. Slated for build-out in January 2004, the completed property will encompass 7,000 sf.

SAN DIEGO-Sunbelt Management Co. is progressing on its Kearny Mesa office project, as construction has hit the halfway mark at the Sunbelt complex less than six months after ground was broken here.

Slated for build-out in January 2004, the office facility is rising on Othello Avenue in Kearny Mesa. Upon completion, it will encompass 7,000 sf of office space housed in a two level facility with cast-in-place concrete walls and exposed roof structures. In a move to maximize energy efficiency at the project, the finished facility will also feature dual-glazed windows with built-in shading devices. Other features will include polished concrete floors and floor-to-ceiling glass walls, which have been incorporated to create a “modern, European feel,” according to officials at KMA Architecture & Engineering, which has designed the project.
