Gilbert Lands 131,000-SF Southwestern HQ

GILBERT, AZ-Cambridge Filter will build a multi-million-dollar office and manufacturing facility for its specialty product, air filters for the semiconductor industry. Ground breaks in December on 8.8 acres bought for $2.1 million.

GILBERT, AZ-A firm that manufactures air filters for the semiconductor industry will break ground next month on a 131,000-sf, multi-million-dollar manufacturing and office facility in Gilbert’s El Dorado Tech Center that will serve as the company’s southwestern headquarters.

Cambridge Filter Corp., a subsidiary of Japan-based Kondoh Industries, expects to begin first phase construction with a 48,000-sf building in the 135-acre business park. Completion is scheduled for mid-2004, Paul Sieczkowski, with Colliers International tells GlobeSt.com. Plans for the second phase construction have not yet been announced.

Sieczkowski says the company selected the 8.8-acre site in the Guadalupe Road and Country Club Drive park because it gave the firm close access to their suppliers and frontage along one of the development’s main streets.
