The historic, four-story, 50,895-sf structure at 1701 South 28th St. in Philadelphia will be renovated and converted into Anthony Wayne Senior Housing, a 39-unit complex for persons aged 62 and older. The state is providing $802,641 in funds and $454,605 in tax credits; JER Hudson Housing Capital is making an equity contribution of about $4.4 million from its tax credit syndication proceeds, and the city is kicking in another $1.3 million from community development block grant and home investment partnership program funds.

PHFA is providing $3.4 million in funds and $752,188 in tax credits to build York Commons, a 102-unit complex in five three-story buildings on 11 acres at 2406 Cape Horn Rd., in York Twp. The complex will total 103,910 sf, including 780 sf of community space.

A $1.1-million PennHomes multifamily rental development loan from PHFA and $205,383 in housing tax credits will fund construction of Valley Townhouses on three acres at West 10th St., in Waynesboro in Franklin County. There will be 22 units in five two-story buildings with an aggregate of 32,060 sf, including 1,192 sf of community space.

PHFA commits $1.5 million of PennHomes funds and $242,741 in tax credits for construction of Mill Race Commons in Mountoursville, Lycoming County. The 32-unit structure for persons aged 62 and older will encompass 32,434 sf on a three-acre site west of Loyalsock Ave.

Allegheny Point, a half-acre property on Pennsylvania Ave. in Warren, Warren County, receives $915,000 in loans and $177,871 in tax credits for construction of a four-story, 24-unit building for those age 62 or older. The 22,972-sf facility includes 1,142 sf of community space. The Warren County Chamber of Business and Industry sold the site to the project's sponsor, Turbotville, PA-based Susquehanna Valley Development Group, for one dollar.
