Earlier this year, the hotel completed the refurbishment of the lobby, 360 guest rooms and suites, expansion of its meeting space and the addition of FireLake, Grill House & Cocktail Bar, which features classic Midwestern cuisine with a Mediterranean twist.
The Radisson Plaza Hotel Minneapolis is among six 2004 AAA Four Diamond winners in Minnesota. The repeat winners in Minnesota include: Fitger's Inn, Duluth; The Grand Hotel Minneapolis; Radisson Plaza Hotel, Rochester; The Saint Paul Hotel, St. Paul; and Sofitel, Bloomington. The restaurant was Goodfellow's of Minneapolis.
The Four Diamond symbol will be included in the listings in the 2004 AAA North Central Tour Book guide used by AAA's more than 46 million members. Only 3.25% of the estimated 31,000 AAA Rated lodgings and 3.21% of the estimated 18,700 restaurants are awarded the AAA Four Diamond designation each year.
The hotel is company-owned and managed and is a flagship property for Radisson, as the full-service global hotel chain has grown to more than 440 hotels in 61 countries. Radisson is a division of Carlson Hospitality Worldwide, a Minnetonka, MN-based hospitality services provider with more than 1,660 hotel, resort, restaurant and cruise ship operations in 82 countries.
