New Owner for Popular Movie Theater

SUFFOLK, VA-Popular since its opening in 2000, Consolidated Harbour View Grande 16 gets a new owner in a deal valued at $12 million. Kansas City, MO-headquartered Entertainment Properties Trust acquired the 3,000-seat movie theater from Harbor View Partners.

SUFFOLK, VA-Consolidated Harbour View Grande 16, a popular movie theater located at 5860 Harbour View Blvd., has gotten a new owner. Kansas City, MO-based Entertainment Properties Trust, a leading entertainment REIT, has purchased the 3,000-seat megaplex in a deal valued at $12 million. Entertainment Properties acquired the theater from Harbour View Partners under the name Harbor View Station JV LLC.

The movie destination is operated by Charlotte, NC’s Consolidated Theaters and was developed three years ago for $10 million. The Suffolk Office of City Assessor tells GlobeSt.com that the building carries a 2003-2004 assessed value of $7.7 million.
