SAN JOSE- Equity Office Properties Trust has found a new managing director of leasing for the San Jose region in Richard Scott, most recently principal and senior vice president of Commercial Property Services Co. in Santa Clara, CA.

Scott, 40, joined CPS in 1995. His primary area of concentration was representing owners throughout the Silicon Valley in commercial transactions involving leases, acquisitions and investments, and development.

His recent career highlights include a 150,000-sf acquisition in Sunnyvale, CA. involving CIGNA and Integrated Systems Inc.; a 130,000-sf R&D R&D/office lease Fremont involving Catellus and Manufacturer's Services; a 120,000-sf office acquisition in Fremont involving Barry Swenson and Sharp Development; and a 15,000-sf class A office lease for URS Greiner in Downtown San Jose.
