The Northfield Township property, sold by Royal Neighbors of America, is located on 24.61 acres. The property is leased on a long-term lease by Woodbridge Group, a tier 1 automotive supplier. Grubb & Ellis team members Geoff Hill, SVP, Industrial Group and Jon Savoy, Senior Vice President, Director of Industrial Services, represented both the buyer and the seller in this transaction. In the second transaction, 35,188 sf of industrial space in Sterling Heights was leased to Richelieu Inc. a subsidiary of Richelieu Hardware of Quebec. The Sterling Heights property is owned by Garland Commons, LLC, a subsidiary of GTR Builders, Inc. of Clinton Township. This new building with 24-foot clearance and truckwells is to be used for the expansion of the tenant‚s operations in Michigan. Occupancy is expected in February 2004. Hill represented the tenant in this transaction.
