Orion said it plans to invest the proceeds in a broad range of industrial, office, residential and retail properties and portfolios in markets across Europe including France, Germany, Italy, Spain and the UK. "We will continue to build on the successful formula of our first fund where we have to date completed 29 transactions with a gross value of €1.4 billion ($1.7 billion) and have successfully sold 11 investments with more sales in the pipeline," said Van Stults, a founding partner of Orion Capital Managers.
Orion expects to increase its exposure to the UK given the market cycle. In addition, the firm will expand its investment markets to include Central Europe. As with the first fund, Orion anticipates investors in the second fund to come from around the world, including Asia, Europe, the Middle East and North America.
