"The 400 block of West Baltimore Street will create a new urban neighborhood that will reflect the diversity of Baltimore," Baltimore Mayor Martin O'Malley says in a statement announcing the selection of the development team. "In addition, the willingness of developers to invest private dollars in the city is a testament to the progress we have made and the increasing belief by many investors that they their businesses can grow and thrive in Baltimore." The project is expected to take 18 months to complete from the time of construction start.
