NAIOP Names CBRE's Murphy, Phipps Top Brokers

ORLANDO-The Central Florida chapter of the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties cites David Murphy for his 42 industrial deals valued at $50.2 million in 2003 and Mike Phipps for his 15 transactions totaling $85.6 million. Murphy and Phipps are vice presidents in the local office of CB Richard Ellis Inc.

ORLANDO-The local office of CB Richard Ellis Inc. has captured two top annual awards from the Central Florida chapter of the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties.

David Murphy and Mike Phipps, CBRE vice presidents, are the year’s most productive brokers. Murphy was cited for his 42 industrial deals valued at $50.2 million; Phipps for his 15 transactions totaling $85.6 million. Murphy was also NAIOP’s top broker in 1999.

Murphy joined CBRE in 1998 and was named the company’s rookie of the year in its eastern US division. He is a 1994 graduate from Pennsylvania State University where he earned a bachelor of science degree in real estate. He focused on real estate valuation and became one of the youngest appraisers to receive a Member of the Appraisal Institute designation.
