GlobeSt.com UPDATE: Negotiations Ongoing with Major Stadium Donor

MINNEAPOLIS-The University of Minnesota unveiled a feasibility study earlier this week for a $222-million open air, on campus football stadium, but T. Denny Sanford's $35-million donation was nowhere in evidence as terms are still under negotiation.

MINNEAPOLIS-The University of Minnesota has been unable to work out the terms of a $35-million gift from South Dakota banker T. Denny Sanford to help build its new on campus football stadium.

The university recently unveiled preliminary drawings and plans for a 50,000-seat, open air, on campus stadium. But Sanford’s name was nowhere in the mix. The feasibility study, which was done by the university, estimated the cost of the new stadium at $222 million.
