Atlantic Station Co-Founder Steps Down

ATLANTA-Charles Brown, who conceived the $2-billion, 138-acre mixed-use Midtown project with local developer James F. Jacoby and other associates in 1997, plans to do private consulting and volunteer work with civic organizations.

ATLANTA-Charles Brown, who conceived the $2-billion, 138-acre mixed-use Atlantic Station project with local developer James F. Jacoby and other associates in 1997, is retiring but plans to do private consulting and volunteer work with civic organizations.

Atlantic Station sources also say Brown’s son, Scott, is leaving the project to go into other business fields. Charles Brown has been an local developer for 40 years and participated in numerous high-profile commercial projects such as Technology Park/Atlanta Inc. in Norcross, GA and Atlanta’s Lenox Park.
