For 8.5 hours, 329 trucks poured the foundation at 2001 and 2011 N. Ocean Blvd. on Fort Lauderdale Beach. In the process, more than 300 tons of steel were covered with 3,298 cubic yards of concrete. Cornerstone Premier Communities, the project's developer, joined the buyers and onlookers to watch the foundation pouring. "The construction trucks became the highlight for early-morning beach joggers and neighbors," says developer Richard Lamondin. "It was an event of major proportions, where those who may not have previously known about Vue are now fully aware that this will be a landmark project."Alliance Construction, a division of Cornerstone Group, is the general contractor. Units will range from 910 sf to 1,800 sf, and prices start in the $300,000s.
