Swim School Anchors Ashburn Tech Park

ASHBURN, VA-Ashburn Technology Park has welcomed a new and different tenant with the opening of the Potomac Swim School, which has taken on 5,000 sf of space in the building at 21730 Red Rum Dr. The swimming facility–the first privately owned heated pool center dedicated to providing swimming lessons–will count as its neighbors in the park Texcan Beef and Pork Co., which occupies 4,500 sf, Murphy Mechanical in a 2,500-sf space, and A&A Fitness in a 2,500 sf space. Space at similar flex properties in the Ashburn area lease for about $6.75 to $10 per sf.

Located off Waxpool Rd. and the Dulles Greenway near the Washington Dulles International Airport, the 82-acre Ashburn Technology Park currently consists of three flex buildings totaling 245,000 sf. Park developer MIE Properties expects to ultimately build out the park to include 10 structures and 650,000 sf of flex space. “The Ashburn area is growing with families that want great quality services for their kids, and thanks to MIE, we can provide this,” notes Potomac Swim School owner and president Donna Boone.
